Learning About The Causes Of Rheumatoid Arthritis

First things first, researchers and medical scientists have spent countless hours, millions of dollars and still, they haven’t been able to discover exactly what causes rheumatoid arthritis. What is clear is what causes the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis, at least this helps in determining a treatment, but as for the real cause, there have been no official report about it yet.

What we do know though is that rheumatoid arthritis happens when a person is in an advanced stage, normally at their fifties and onwards. So it may be considered that as the body and its components age and weaken, arthritis can then set in. But then again, why do some people get rheumatoid arthritis as early as their twenties?

This resulted to different studies made to discover the genetic link of rheumatoid arthritis.  Those studies have shown that men and women who have a family history of rheumatoid arthritis are more likely to develop the condition.

Some "experts" would then claim that what we eat can have a definite effect on the chances of us getting rheumatoid arthritis. Many rheumatoid arthritis diets are now being given but still, many of them have shown that it is unable to prevent rheumatoid arthritis from happening.

So basically, rheumatoid arthritis is nearly impossible to prevent but it is not a lost cause. While having the right diet and exercise regimen will not prevent the condition, it can delay its occurrence or lessen the pain felt by the afflicted person. But as far as knowing what rheumatoid arthritis, all of us are still in the dark about that.
