A doctor may also test if the blood has an increased content of C-reactive protein. Its high number of presence results to inflammation of the joints. With this, a doctor may also do an Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate; this procedure shows if the person has inflammation in the body if the sedimentation of the red blood cells is high.
